Does flexview T42 overturn when LCD is wide open?

#1 Post by geobel » Wed Jun 16, 2004 7:29 am

I remember there were posts that Flexview R series tend to overturn if LCD is wide open because LCD assembly is almost as heavy as the base. Do Flexview T42s do this? How stable 15" T42 feels with wide open LCD? Taking into account that T42 is lighter than R ThinkPad and the difference is likely due to lighter base, T42 should be very prone to overturning...

P.S. Sorry if this has been discussed already. If so I've missed it somehow...

I have a 14.1" T42, so the results may not be the same for the 15"

I opened the LCD completley and it was still perfectly stable and wasn't even beginning to overturn.

I have the 15" UXGA. It does NOT overturn.

I have not noticed any problem like this, either.
