Is there a way to LOCK my t42 keyboard?
Is there a way to LOCK my t42 keyboard?
I am in law school and must sit in very small desks. OFten times i can not have my computer open as well as my cumbersome law books. Is there a way to LOCK the keyboard so that i could law a book onto of it, then remove the book and unlock the keyboard to type again?
I know i could put the computer into sleep mode and then wake it up again but this is often time consuming...
thanks,
C.

Re: Is there a way to LOCK my t42 keyboard?
Set it to go to standby and ask for a password on resume. Close the lid. I was going to do that but then I decided I don't care if people see my outlinescorleone wrote:I am in law school and must sit in very small desks. Which law school are you in? There are a lot of us here. Also, please add some location info to your profile...helps everyone know where to answer questions from (UK might have different answers than US, etc)

Remap one of your keys to the Windows key (like left Alt, for example) and then to lock the keyboard (and computer) press Win+L....you'll have to enter the password to unlock it, but its a good quick way to lock the keyboard for whatever reason
