Screen "Smudge" on T42

I have a spot roughly the size of a quarter that looks like a smudge. I have run dead pixel software and determined that it looks smudged with any color displayed. Almost seems as though there is dirt underneath the screen or something. Anyone else ever experienced this?

It's not grease off the trackpoint ?

Nope. In the upper left corner. I've tried to clean it several times, but it doesn't come up. Nothing shows up when the screen is off either, so I don't think it is something on the top of the screen.
