Refurbished T61 what do you think? with warranty 2 years

I am considering this, instead of dead R500- could not repair error of going to suspend all the time, see other thread.

Imported from big companies, cca 3 years of use on it, refurbished resold with warranty. Need a temporary solution...what do you guys think?
2. I am buying it in place of my dead R500. the r500 has a display with same resolution.
Would I be able to use the R500¨s display as a spare part, if the one in the T61 broke? thanks

I don't think that's as big of a deal if there is a warranty.

Well, if it were Lenovo's warranty I'd agree...

This is obviously a "third-party" warranty that is being discussed here...

What happens when the "third party" goes out of business overnight? Right...

This one is Intel there is a version with nvidia too which should I go for?

nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M a version with this one can be had for 300 USD. Which one sbould I get?

Stay away from nvidia, get an Intel based one.

Can the display from R500 be used for the T61? shame the memory chips cannot be reused. The R500 is DIMM 3, or whatever, the T61 is dim2

Keyboards are the same.

If you get a 15.4" unit, the screen from R500 (not the entire lid) will be usable.

With Intel graphics, it should last way more than just a year...
