Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG ‘v’ IBM wireless card

#1 Post by rajpanesar » Wed Apr 20, 2005 3:32 am

I have ordered my t43p (UC3G4UK) and noticed that I have ordered the non Intel card but it supports A/B and G wireless standards.

Can anyone please tell me the differences between the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG card and the non Intel card assuming the IBM wireless card? Also any issues using the IBM one? :?

Thanks

Either will work fine. Many people claim the IBM card performs better but I use the Intel 2200 b/g card in my T42 and find the performance to be more than acceptable.

I've got the original IBM a/b/g (uses AR5001X+ chipset) and it's given me no problems over the past year and a half.
