T420s mobile broadband card problem

Hi,

i have installed a Toshiba Ericsson F3607gw mobile broadband card bought on ebay on my T420s, but the pc keeps pluggin/unpluggin it. i wasn't able to solve the problem

First - is your card Lenovo branded? Does it have a Lenovo PN FRU on it? On T series (at least) one cannot install a generic wlan/wwan card without a third-party modified BIOS (for whitelisting) - and I think there is no such BIOS for T420s.
Second - as far as I know - hope I'm not wrong - on T420s you have only two WWAN options: Qualcomm Gobi 3000 (PN 0A36185) and ERICSSON F5521GW (FRU PN 60Y3255).

Yes the card has a FRU (60Y3237) and i'm using a modified bios, it should normally work.
The card is properly installed and detected by the pc, but he keeps unpluggin and repluggin it, i don't know why!

I have similar issues, 3G modem disappearing from Device Manager without reason. The card is F5521GW, the card it self has been changed to a newer rev and the whole motherboard was changed too and Windows 7 x64 was reinstalled too. Latest drivers for everything and still this is ongoing problem..for over a year. I think this is a bug in the whole system and can't do much anymore when everything is changed. I only think if Gobi 3000 would work, that's the only other one (according to lenovo support phone) that should work with T420s.

I'm using an Ericsson F5521GW WWAN card (60Y3255) on my T420s, no problems so far.
