T400: replacement screen from a Dell D630?

will a display from a Dell D630 fit into a T400?

First, if your T400 has an LED backlight, it won't fit at all. If you have a CCFL screen, this is what I know. I have never Moved a screen from a D630, but I can say that most Dell machines have standard pin-outs so it wil probably work, but the D630 has an attached inverter that you must remove. They usually need the entire frame loosened, and it is easy to screw up the panel

Maybe it's help a little, screen from D630 fit to T61 without any mods.

To add to this, a CCFL T400 display will swap into a T61 without any issues, so you may have success with this swap.
ThinkPads:T21(retired), X200(retired), T500(busted) T400(retiring), T430(upcoming)
Other: Dell Precision M6700(desk hog)
