What is the plastic thing on top of the screen for

#1 Post by the undecided » Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:09 am

The X220 Tablet has a plastic thing on the top right part of the screen. What is that for? Is that the 3G antenna? Or is it to aid open the display?

Ahh OK - You have the Wireless WAN antenna assembly dummy (stub), which has no antenna - Just checked it in the ThinkPad X220 Tablet and X220i Tablet HMM Page's 127 & 129 :)

Okay. I guess it does not make sense to remove it. But now I at least know what it is for.
