I am quite excited at this moment - just finished to set up my new Pad and - considering it is my first experience with IBM [worked a little before, never owned one] [Toshiba/Acer/Sony experience prior to this one] I have to say the unit looks pretty sexy..
[yes, the battery is not super-fit in the back, the CD-ROM drive is also not perfectly aligned but these are really details - the unit itself seems to fly- it took about 2minutes to boot/finish the setup and have the cursor ready [not blinking.. unfortunately]].
Now - I also want to thank you all for the information you have provided in this forum - my decision was quite influenced by the last week's readings on pretty much all topics concerning T/R series. I wished I could have got the chance to get a KXU however it is not available here [Toronto] at this moment and I needed one like yesterday [I am leaving tomorrow to go overseas for three weeks so I couldn't wait another month. Well, I could - but I guess you all know _the feeling_]. [I will not get into the details of my last night's sleep then, right?] (-:
RAM upgraded [1Gb in total - prolly I'll go to 2 as soon as those prices drop a lil' [4 times for 1Gb than a 512Mb??], 2nd battery [slim bay] as well in the pocket, travel mous, ultranav keyb, xyloc badge, etc - all ready to go.
Next to do - SuSE on a good half of this hdd and finish all the necessary configurations for the environment I'm working in. If desired, I can keep you guys updated on my experiences/findings.. so far all looks really good.
