IE, Windows Security patch and MSE

One of my T60's caught the "Windows Security Patch virus" and they were all at latest SP3 and running MSE. My wife was using the problem unit and she uses IE all the others use Chrome, just a coincidence? Any thoughts?

Just in case this happens to you, I went into safe mode and did a restore to a previous week and then ran Malwarebytes and threw out all the crap it found. Machine seems okay now
