A31p Invalid Machine Type error with software Installer

Hi All,

I have purchased an IBM A31 ( a 2652 DXG ) from my company. And I have the same problem with regards the system not being recognised by the 'auto detect' & 'software updater' tools.

I checked with our IT department and the motherboard of the machine was apparantly swapped out about 18 months ago. The company wasn't bothered about sorting it as they used image builds rather then using the 'software updater' tools.

I would would greatly appreciate it if anyone could e-mail me the tool used in this thread so that I can rectify the problem.
