T410 - internal speakers stop working

#1 Post by j.durlewanger » Tue Jul 03, 2012 11:31 am

When the laptop is docked, the internal speakers stop working.
The speakers work when disconnected from the dock. headphones work when connected to the dock or computer while docked. The audio properties will show the internal speakers as well as any connected headphones. performed bios update and audio driver update to no avail.
Running windows 7 ent 64bit

While connected to the dock, go to "Sound" in the Windows Control Panel. Check to see what the default speaker is chosen. It probably changes the output to another default when docked.

It says speakers default audio device when on or off the docking station. I've tried changing that but there is nothing else to choose from.
