#1 Post by KamikazeKunze » Tue Jul 10, 2012 9:03 am

Hey everyone,

My T420 I am issued at work blue screened on me twice while docked and locked. Both times I stepped away for a meeting and came back to BSOD. My IT guys are looking into it now but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask here also.
Writing out the error as I cannot figure out how to attach the image.
Technical information:

Well it seems that the BSOD while locked and docked was just coincidence. :??:
My IT dept ran chckdsk (found errors), found errors in the registry and performed updates and there were "Quite a few" that needed updating.
Either way all is well for now!

Thx

Well, it happened again. all three times it has BSOD'd it has been docked and locked for over 30m for meetings.
Going to give the whole shabang to IT and see if the dock is defective.

Update:

Unit will only BSOD while docked and locked as stated. We have tried the below fixes;
1) Update everything we can, bios, firmware, software.
2) Uninstall the last three programs
3) Replaced the dock with a new unit.
4) Replace the laptop (with all of the above) but keep my HD.

It is still blue screening. We are now going to use the new laptop but install a new HD and I'll rebuild it and test it one program at a time.

Fingers Crossed!
