keyboard strongly used up

I have X40 and after a 10 months of everyday use the keyboard is making squeezing noises and quality is down...

If you are still under warranty, call IBM and tell them about the problem. They will send you a new one w/ next day shipping.

Why would you think it is not? If your keyboard was initially quiet and now it is making a lot of squeezing noise that would mean that it is failing.

Call them, be confident about it, you have nothing to feel guilty about it, and you got nothing to loose.

Hmm, some issues comming under the common usage are not covered by warranty, e.g. like shoes. I'll try it. When I am typing in a room a lot of people are turning heads on me and marvelling how that man there can do so funny noises ...

Can you record this funny noises for us?

BTW don't worry. IBM will send you a new keyboard for free. You might have to send back your old one.

I'll try but it should not be so prominent as in the big lecture or conference hall
