Well, I've had my x230 for about a month, upgrading from an x61t. Besides the layout changes to the keyboard, I've been very happy with my upgrade. Unfortunately, over the past couple days the enter key has become broken. The left side of the enter key is very loose or springy in that I can push it down all the way without the right side of the key moving. It will not register a keypress when I use the left side of the key. The right side of the key doesn't have the springy issue, but in order to register an "enter" keypress I have to push it down very hard past the "click." I'll be contacting Lenovo today to see if they will ship me out a new keyboard.
Has anyone else had broken key problems on these new keyboards? I'd like to know if this is something I'm going to have to deal with every month or if this is a freak problem.

Re: Broken "enter" key
Hi,
I have the same problem. I just purchased a Thinkpad X230 and after few weeks I lost two keys. They came off and when I tried to clip them back on I noticed that a small plastic part was broken inside the key cap. My main concern is that all the other keys feel the same on the keyboard. This means that in a matter of weeks or months, I'll lose all the keys???!!!
I've noticed that there are different X230 keyboards, some have blue prints on certain keys and some have completely black and white sets. Mine is the latter. I'm not sure what this means. I'm trying to contact support for help.
I must add that I'm a long-time Thinkpad user and I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the new keyboard...
