WTB: Hard drives and WXGA+ panel

#1 Post by CanadianDude » Thu Jul 19, 2012 7:04 pm

I'm looking to buy some inexpensive SATA II 2.5" laptop hard drives. I want at least 80gb, 7200 rpm.

I'm also looking for a replacement LCD panel for my 14.1" Z61t. Must be WXGA+ and in good condition (bright etc.)

One thing to bear in mind:

If the current panel is 14.1 at 1280x800, you're good to go with WXGA+

However, if it's 14.0 at 1280x768, the panel swap is not possible.

Happy hunting.

Is it just a bezel issue? Could i simply put a bigger bezel or will the panel itself not fit?

I don't know how cheap you want - but I've been buying perfectly good refurbished drives from here for under $40.
