x40 wireless hangs

#1 Post by Jack111 » Fri Apr 22, 2005 10:06 pm

I have an x40 2382 6uu that worked awesomely for 6 months. At IBM's suggestion I installed several driver updates.
I updated the driver for my pro/wireless lan 2100 3B mini PC adapter. Now I am having trouble connecting via wireless and the system hangs. I get an w70n51 error in my event log when it hangs. I have been through several reupdates/installs. All drivers and software are current.
Ideas?

Can you roll the driver back? That might fix things.

In my opinion, not all driver updates are completely necessary - i'm still on an old wireless adapter (not Intel) and 3.30 of Access Connections.

I am sure this is the issue. What drive should I be running?

Not sure, mate. You'll have to do some research to determine what driver was replaced and see if you can install the other one. Best thing to do is search through these forums and see where/how others have handled this problem (and from what I recall, these Intel drivers have been problematic for some).
