I recently killed my T42P trying to change for a second time the noisy fan (the goddam thermal paste, even hot, was too glued to the video chipset..sigh).
Oh well, decided to go to a T61p and a W500 for me and my father in law.
Thing is I used a nice SSD but pata one, the ultrabay from the T42p works fine in the t61P, but not in the W500 since it is now a SATA ultrabay.
I was wondering if there was a way to use my PATA ssd in the W500, because I find no info on that.
Considering a 40gig ssd was fine enough for my needs, the ultrabay should be way less than a new small ssd as well, ot it would not worth it.
Does pata ultrabay for w500 exist ?
Re: Does pata ultrabay for w500 exist ?
I believe there is no way to do it.

Yeah, I guessed so, as I found nothing about it. Oh well I will deal with the noise till I get cash to spare for a new ssd then...
