What is the maximum amount of Gigahertz the mother board on my ibm thinkpad T43p can support? I want to upgrade my laptop with a single core processor with 3.0Ghz, 1MB Cache, and 800MHz front side bus or a dual core processor 2.4Ghz, 1MB Cache, 800 MHz front-side-bus. Is that processor upgrade feasible for my ibm thinkpad t43p laptop? Could I upgrade my T43 ibm thinkpad laptop with this processor? http://www.outletpc.com/bj2845.html

No, that processor will not work in your T43p. The absolute fastest CPU you can install in a T43 is the 2.26GHz Pentium M 780 which runs at the T43p's 533MHz bus speed. More information on the specifications of this CPU can be found here:
