My configuration is in my signature. In windows when I try to watch flash video the screen flickers (freezes) badly. This is mainly in the first 1 or so minutes of the playback. This is even more so if the connection to the video isnt great - it flickers all the time. It seems as if it flickers/freezes every time it buffers the stream in the background. It does this in all browsers.
I am using opera 12 with latest version of flash and latest video drivers from lenovo.
Any suggestions?

Re: Screen flickers badly when waching flash video.
There are 2 Flash file formats, .FLV and .F4V
Maybe you need to install different/additional codecs.
Make sure to get the correct 32- or 64-bit files.
Try a different media player program, such as VLC.

This problem is only in browser based flash streams - i.e. BBC iplayer, etc.RealBlackStuff wrote:There are 2 Flash file formats, .FLV and .F4V

I dont know anything about the codecs - and most likely they are proprietary ones anyway.

BBC iPlayer does not play (officially ahem...) outside of the UK.
I suggest you install these (free) CCCP codecs: http://combined-community-codec-pack.en.softonic.com/
