Upgrading X31 to BT

#1 Post by Orbitz » Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:30 pm

What are the alternatives for adding BT to an X31 without integrated BT? I spoke with IBM and they say they will not do it but think that places like CompUSA (eeek) can by adding a chip (IBM sales said this is not a CF or PC card but an actual "chip".?

IMHO usb BT key should be better and more reliable. http://www.blueunplugged.com/Products/B ... h_USB.aspx

I think that by adding a chip inside you should lost your warranty, but I am not sure.
Let's go'n'restart :-)

Yes it would (if the IBM service guy finds out  ). But I vote for doing it. It's not a complicated thing to do, and great to have BT without sticking out a thing on the side of your TP.

Edit: Here is little hint for you.
