380ED power-on password

#1 Post by BlooKe » Fri Aug 31, 2012 3:47 pm

Hi there!

Few days ago I got a ThinkPad 380ED :thumbs-UP:

But i have a problem with it:

it has set a Power-On password, but it was found on loft and nobody knows it... :(

Maybe someone can help and tell how to reset or cancel it?

Thanks in advance,
BlooKe

Hi there BlooKe, welcome to the forum.

Here are the directions provided by Lenovo for removal of lost or forgotten passwords:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail. ... migr-59377

If that doesn't help, there isn't much we can do here. Forum rules don't allow for the discussion of password removal, since that is generally an illegal activity, or at least provides info that thieves could use.
