Any disadvantages of IE9 on W7 / T61?
I have T61 running Windows 7 64bit, 6Gb Ram, 500Gb WD Scorpio Black.
Is there any disadvantage in upgrading from IE8 to IE9? What are the advantages?
I have tried searching, but can't seem to find the answer(s).
Thanks in advance.
Walter

the advantages are huge - thats what I'm using, and the performance is amazing, it takes up less vertical space, has a cleaner look, as well as supporting newer standards - I would recomend you upgrade, I haven't come across any disadvantages, and I've been using it for over a year now.

Sure, at least it works better than any other version of IE. But even with 9 I'm having this laggy performance, especially when loading video sites & etc, so I never really got used to it.
Why don't you try something better like Firefox or Chrome?

thats interesting - I find IE9 works faster than any of the other browsers, no lags or anything at all - how much of that can be attributed to my ssd I don't know, but I highly reccomend you try firefox, chrome and IE9 and decide for yourself which one you like best.
