Help on e430

I am a new user of the thinkpad series.
I bought the e430 with freeDos and i have some questions about the laptop:
1. I have the same "pulsing fan" problem like the e530 users have, but this happens only when i activate the switchable graphics(bcs i use the laptop only with the intel 4000)...is there any fix at the moment? (the e530 fix isnt available as i checked in the forum)
2. what lenovo thinkvantage or preinstalled software do i need, bcs the pc takes a little long to start up(ready for work)
3.when i open the access connection the WiMax and mobile broadband are hidden and i cannot click them, althrough i have sim card inserted and drivers installed. what should i do?
4. sometimes when i go to drivers section at the lenovo site i find 3 brands of a component, example: wifi cards drivers. how to find which is the needed driver, without testing all the 3 installations?
5. The USB always on doesnt work. i turned on in BIOS and its not working, nor with ipod or other devices in case the pc its turned off. (on BIOS description it says it can be used with pc completely off, not in charge)
