The ATI2DVAG BSOD
need not be caused by defective HW; as mentioned in the thread
T42p won't boot (see the links therein) a SW-error may also cause the same failure. Hint: Try search (Google) for "ATI2DVAG BSOD" and see what comes up.
The "vertical color dots about 1/2 inch spacing" however sounds much worse...
Note: I am not saying that your mobo is surely OK, just that seeing the ATI2DVAG BSOD
need not mean that the mobo is defective.
Pretty annoying, in either case!
