Custom Thinkpad Keyboard - possible?

#1 Post by Cola » Fri Sep 21, 2012 3:21 pm

Hi all.

I've got this T40 bottom with a perfect working keyboard in it. But no display to it. Is there any way that I can use this as a keyboard for my desktop PC?

Simple question really, so not much else to say.

Thanks
Regards; Frederik.

I think you can't use it.

You could connect it to external display and have it remote via Terminal server to windows or something like NX client to linux OS of your desktop PC.

Then you would be using the Thinkpad as a thin client to the more powerful PC. It would be OK for desktop apps and video, though high quality video and games wouldn't work too well.

The thinkpad USB keyboard is exactly that, maybe you should try looking for one of those?
