390x fan is death

:cry: I newly buy thinkpad ibm laptop 390x secondhand, what I will ask why
fan [in] casing left side live when [is] first time flamed [by] but
death after sound of beep before windows loading. [whether/ what] [is]
normal?

So you hear the fan running, while Windows is booting, then it stops? Yeah, that's normal. My T40 does the same everytime I turn it on.

Yeah, my 380 does that. To save power, the computer automatically controls the speed of the fan to only spin when it needs to and at the exact speed it needs to. I wouldn't worry unless the computer is getting exceptionally hot and the fan still does not run and/or your computer ever gets to th point of overheating.
