Looking for an X31 in excellent condition (with at least 12 months still left under warranty) w/ 1.6 ghz minimum , wifi b,g and bluetooth (or at least the BT antenna allready installed :).

I really wanted that unit...but the antenna for Bluetooth is out of stock at IBM for at least 6 - 8 weeks.

Use a BT PC Card or CF card in the interim!

Heck this guy must be right around the corner from you and you could probably have the unit in your hands tonight.

Great minds think alike :)

I looked into the CF route...the only CF card I can find that doesn't stick out of the slot is the Socket one...and their technical support is saying that they are having problems with people getting them to work well in WinXP laptops especially without using the PC card adapter....plus I hated to eat the $130 on the CF card :) I called all the IBM parts places I could find looking that antenna and all are showing it back ordered.

How often are you really going to be using it? You could try a USB/BT adapter, they're only around $40 I believe.

Yes, it will definitely stick out, but it's easily removed for travel.

The Socket CF card fits flush: http://www.socketcom.com/product/bluetooth.asp and reportedly works quite well.

Way to go! I told you Bill had access to X4x machines.

Where's your crossed feathers?

Does this mean the wife doesn't get an X31?
