Anyone done a LED conversion on a T4x?
Anyone done a LED conversion on a T4x?
I just upgraded my 14" T42 to a Sharp LQ141U1LH02 UXGA screen.
The backlight is a little dim so I thought about replacing the CCFL's with new ones but then I came across the LED upgrade kits that lcdparts.net sell
Has anyone here tried them? Are they worth the money or should I just grab some new CCFL's?

Welcome to the forum!
There's a member who has performed a conversion of a similar kind on a X6x tablet, but I have yet to hear of anyone who has done it on a T4x unit.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks!
Any chance of you having a link to that topic?
I'm interested in seeing if there is a lot of difference from a ccfl aswell as where he'd place the led converter.

Re: Anyone done a LED conversion on a T4x?
Having been lurking for a couple of years, have finally registered on the Forum.
I would like to know more about this and am waiting for the results of any one who does it. I have a T43p 2669-GEG, the 14.1"screen is fine, for now, although is hard to see in sunlight, especially watching movies.
I am thinking the LED upgrade would be a vast improvement on brightness, might be wrong though. Have looked thru LCDparts.net website and the choices are vast, how does one determine which screen is fitted to my laptop?
Just as a side note,I am running Mageia Linux only on this and has been faultless since converting to Linux, can highly recommend to any one wanting to try Linux even as a duel boot system.
