screen compitability between X60T and X61T

#1 Post by i2000s » Wed Oct 03, 2012 10:39 am

Hi,

I wonder if I can replace my X61 7767-A4U Tablet screen with another X60 T 6366-L6U/86U screen assembly? I heard the rumor that X60T and X61T are always compitable, but I want to hear more info to verify it. Thanks.
X31 (since 2003), X61T (2007), X200T (2009), ThinkPad Tablet 2 (2013), P50 (2016).
Considering more Thinkpads. Retiring my X200T. PM me if anyone wants to home it.
OS: Ubuntu and Windows 10.

Yes, and you should swap the entire LCD assembly if at all possible.

They have different digitizers (G5 on X61 and G4 on X60) The touch connector is in a different place so the cable has to be changed if you change the panels, or you can move the digitizer from your old screen. It is attached with rubber cement, so you have to be careful
