Thinkpad 600x hard drive problem

#1 Post by raduvadim » Tue Oct 16, 2012 3:37 pm

First of all, i want to thank all the active members who solve the problems in this forum.you have helped me as well, with almost all of my problems and questions regarding this notebook.
However, i am posting here regarding a problem i did not found elsewhere. I now own a tp600x whichcame without hard drive. I have aquired two toshiba mk6014map 6gb hard drives trying to get togheter this notebook with a win98/fedora7 dual boot. The problem i have encountered is that the bios does not recognize non of these hard drives correctly, seeing them as only 7mb capacity.i now for sure they both work well, as i have installed win98 on another nootebook using these two.
I have tryied upgrading and downgrading the bios trough versions itnet45->55 and none identifies correctly the drives.i have installed them both, uninitialized or preloaded with os.
Fdisk under win98 sees only 7mb, as fedora lvm acknowledges 130gb.
Can you please help me with this situation, because i would realy want to use this notebook.

Thank you in advance, and sorry for my bad english.
