Trackpoint going crazy

#1 Post by uncle_geoff » Wed Apr 27, 2005 1:07 pm

On a 600X, WinXP Pro, sp2. The cursor has gone crazy, jumping around or whizzing across the screen ... tried the external mouse port but no reaction from either that mouse of the trackpoint. Maybe connected and maybe not the upper PC Card slot seems problematic (I use a Wifi card) but its ok in the lower slot. Thus far have deleted the trackpoint driver and let it re-install but no change to the cursors crazy antics.

Any thoughts on this - is it the trackpoint itself or possibly a mainboard problem?

TIA

Geoff
