First post, just got a X41 and am needing some help...

got an 1.6 ghz X41 tablet, from advice creeping this forum while waiting for it to arrive I've already upgraded the ram to 1.5 gb and added a SSD to it. Just installed Ubuntu 12.04 and am impressed, the only issue is I can not get any of the hardware buttons to work (screen rotate, volume, what I assume are page up and page down buttons?) This is the most important issue I would like to fix although I also could use some help with the finger print reader and any other tips to optimize ubuntu for pen use?
