Yes it would but you would need an adapter also that allows this microSATA SSD to be used in PATA laptop: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Laptop-1-8-Micr ... 27c5b1ac1d
I personally would not bother with it on T2x machine, oldest I would bother is T30 and up.

Not too many people buy T22s nowadays, except top-shelf units with SXGA+ screens and 1.0 CPUs...and even these don't bring much...

Re: will this fit into a T22 ?
12GB was plenty back in the day when a T22 was new. It probably shipped with Win98 or 2k installed, or maybe even just DOS. I have an A21p from about the same era running Win2000 on a 12GB hard drive, and I don't have any problem with it's size. There is probably no reason to try and run XP on such an old machine, with such limited RAM and HDD space.
Put it up for sale on craigslist..someone might buy it as is. I certaily would not recommend spending any money on fixing it up.
If you want to get the most money out of it, take it apart and sell individual pieces...but, you still probably won't net much over $20.

To run XP you would need the full 512MB of RAM (which sells for $8 x 2 on its own). A T22 is worth maybe $20. You might as well just load 98se on it and sell it with a couple thrift store games as an old retro portable gaming machine for kids.

Re: will this fit into a T22 ?
I recently sold a T21... won't say for how much, but some people do want them. But these guys speak the truth-the only ones people will pay any dollar for is one in good condition or hi-spec, T2x series are kind of worthless at the moment...
They are good looking things though, and sturdy for their age, so as long as you have a decent one, I think overall it's more worth keeping than selling right now. And yes, a 12GB Hard Drive is what you'd expect to see in a T22. If you want to really use the thing, you could pitch $20 on ebay and buy a 40GB Hitachi IDE HD, and a little bit more will get you 60GB, and sometimes even 80GB. But it's just overall a bit of a hassle to sell one.

Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...
