W520 entering sleep mode but sleep disabled in power mgmt?
I have a W520 running Windows 7 Professional. Just recently, my laptop has been going into sleep mode after being idle for about 2-4 minutes (the time is not consistent). My power management is set to "high performance". Put the computer to sleep is set to "Never". The advanced power settings are:
Sleep after
On battery: Never
Plugged in: Never
Allow hybrid sleep
On battery: Off
Plugged in: Off
Hibernate after
On battery: Never
Plugged in: Never
Allow wake timers
On battery: Disable
Plugged in: Disable
Does anybody have an idea of why my laptop goes into sleep mode after 2-4 minutes? Is this a software or hardware problem?

Same thing is happening to my W520! Argh.
I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 onto a Samsung 830 256GB SSD, and now have a computer that is finally running well! Incidentally, I previously installed an Intel 520 240GB SSD about 8 months ago and have had nothing but problems. Thankfully Intel agreed to do a warranty return on the drive last week, but not without a $25 cross-ship charge! So I decided it would be better to put that $25 towards a new Samsung 830 240GB that was on sale at a reputable online reseller.
In any case, like I said I did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro and all the programs I generally use which is mostly photo editing tools. For some unknown reason, the system is now entering sleep mode after about 3-4 minutes. I am running the ThinkVantage Power Manager 6.36 and running in Maximum Performance mode which shows that on "AC Settings" the system should enter sleep after 20 minutes! Then I changed the Power Mode to "Timers Off (presentation)" and the system still enters sleep even though ALL idle timers are set to OFF.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Also look at the Windows settings.
That Hybrid sleep is a b^tch yeah, but I finally managed to get rid of it.

I am having the exact same problem as mkhuebner.
Same configuration and windows version.
Anyone have any solution for this?
Lenovo support directed me to uninstall power management driver and reinstall. Did so, and awaiting results.

Did you check both Windows settings and power manager settings?
