I am offering a very nice 4:3 T61 for sale that is in mint condition.

I flashed it with Middleton BIOS to enable SATAII speeds, clear whitelists and add the possibility to upgrade to Penryn CPU.

This one has a rare option on T61's, factory WWAN.

The machine is in stellar condition: there is little no no wear on the lid and shine on the keyboard/palmrest.

I'm asking $275 + shipping ($40 to US/Canada, $25 to Europe) for this very nice machine.
It is a good candidate for Frankenpad build or use as it left from the factory as T61. I am willing to customize the machine with various options (SSD, Penryn CPU, SXGA+ LCD, more RAM etc) for additional cost.

Sounds nice, very uncommon to find a 4:3 with wwan. It's an easy option to add, but good luck finding the factory wwan antenna to fit a 4:3. I had a similar one and you might find it also has the optional sim card reader behind the battery

This is definitely one you want to keep intact, a penryn chip and screen upgrade would be nice, but I wouldn't frankenpad this one, there are more common ones to salvage parts from.

Yes, there is a SIM-card reader also behind the battery.

I was looking for T61 WWAN antennas for 4:3 about a year ago and while there is a wide variety of antennas available for T60/X60/X61 for a reasonable price, there is virtually nothing for T61, even for a bigger money. Never bothered to check how much it would be from Lenovo or whether these are available at all.
