Sold: IBM Thinkpad T60p - $179

Heya guys, I stumbled upon this nice Thinkpad T60p Type 2007-V41 and picked it up with it advertised as parting out, but the unit turned out to be almost all original with everything except a Hard Drive. I've popped in a 120GB WDC laptop HD to do the job. Other hardware:

-Intel Core Duo T2600 2.16GHz Dual-core processor
-1GB RAM
-ATI FireGL V5200
-14.1" SXGA+ display capable of 1400x1050 res
-Built in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g
-DVD/CD-RW combo drive

This machine is in fairly good condition-the lid has some scuffs and white marks on it, but the rest of the laptop seems almost new. There's no wear or smears on the keyboard or touchpad, and the trackpoint is in very good shape.

I've brought the machine to college for web browsing and other daily tasks, the battery life holds up to 3 hours with basic tasks. It does have the extended battery that pokes out the back a little bit. I did not buy this battery new-it came with the machine when I got it and looks original, but it does hold a full charge. The machine connects to the University Wi-Fi just fine and consistently well, and the tall screen is great for typing up documents and viewing web pages. I've also installed some 3D games on the machine to see how well the ATI FireGL works, and for a workstation chip, and a laptop this old, this machine does wondrously well. It can play very recent 3D games, and older ones on the higher settings with little to no issues.

The machine still has a valid Windows XP COA on the bottom. I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit for testing(as I prefer the OS to XP) but I do not plan to leave it as I do not want to use any of my good keys on it. I will simply format the drive, or install XP with the COA, at the request of the buyer. I will post pictures when I find the time to take them.

I've dropped the price to $179, this includes shipping. I will purchase tracking confirmation AND insurance, I had an incident with a recent sale where USPS busted up a nice Z61t I sold to a fellow Thinkpadder. I issued a refund for the parts-but to prevent such incidents from happening to any future sales of mine, I will now purchase insurance with any nicer Thinkpad I ship out. I would hate to see anything happen to a T60p this nice.
