CPU Sensor Missing or Unplugged?

#1 Post by Fixed_Rider » Thu Oct 25, 2012 12:29 am

Hello All,

I am working on my daughters T43p (2668H5U) and maximizing it's time away from an outlet.
So I was using NHC and I noticed it wasn't giving me the CPU temp.
I then decided to install RMClock and it too doesn't show the CPU temp it merely lists it as N/A.

Any ideas as to why I cannot get the CPU temp?

Thank you

Let me guess...you're running W8?

Someone else reported the very same problem not long ago, but I can't look for the thread right now since I'm on my PDA...

There's nothing there to be "unplugged"...without that sensor working your machine wouldn't stay up for 30 seconds...if that long. And it's not the SATA-mod since both of mine report temperatures in W7 and XP respectively when TPFC is used...

ajkula66,

It may have been me posting before I sent this out to RBS. Johan had chimed but i never heard back from him.
I'll leave it alone for now as when I was testing and undervolted the fan would still run but it was blowing cold air out the vent so I'm not overly worried about temp. I was just wanting a reference point from what others had posted.

Thanks

You can install TPFC and it *should* give you temp readings. It will run fine along NHC, at least in my experience.

Given that you have a T43p, what you may want to play with in NHC are the GPU settings, because that's where the most heat on these machines comes from to begin with.

Good luck and keep us posted.
