Fully agree... 1366x768 s@cks... , unless you're a movie watcher and your job is either to watch movies or watch at banners... Even my 5.3" phone beats that resolution.

My 2 cents...

Not very fond of this guy, but he does make a good point occasionally. Although 1600p isn't feasible on the low end market, they should go for 1080p at least.

Agreed. Current laptop resolutions are a sad joke. My six-year-old T60p has more pixels than 90% of the current Thinkpad lineup, including stuff Lenovo markets as "HD+".

Amen to higher resolutions. While I'm not a fan of Apple, Intel and Apple are right in pushing for higher resolution devices and I hope Lenovo shows some leadership in the spring among the PC hordes by doing this on the *40 series with Haswell.

I like my HD X220i very much. It's easy to read and scroll on the stick.

My sister, seeing the wisdom in replacing my aging T42, decided to do the same. She found a cheap ($550USD) Packard bell with quad core AMD A6, 8GB ram and HD7670 at the local electronics store. Anyway, we got in the car to look at it, and behold, the screen was of epic proportions. 15.6 inches and 1366x768! Are you freaking kidding me? I mean, sure its a cheap Packard Bell, but c'mon! 15.6 inches and they couldn't squeeze a few more pixels into the darn thing? Not to mention that fact that the 7670 is a pretty good GPU, and it had a quad core, albeit a low clocked one, to back it up.

Priorities people! What's the point of having good hardware under the hood if you go blind using it?

Bigger numbers don't automagically mean better functionality.... as many smartphone users have discovered. So, meh!

i have setteled on 1920x1200 aka WXUGA as far as i can achieve it..
i use 2 x h/p w2408h and 3 x h/p w2558hc displays on my 2 most used desktype boxes..
h/p does not make these any longer.. too bad..

now for the fun part..
