Normal CPU and HDD temperature levels for X31?

X2/X3/X4x series specific matters only

Already tried it at 1068 at 12 Multipliers for few hours. At 0.956 and 10 multipliers was also fine. But don't know if I can set it up at 0.956 and 12 multipliers or 0.956 is too low voltage for 12 multipliers- what do you think?!

You'd be surprised how much some of those processors undervolt..

Some time ago I purchased desktop itx boards for 479 processors and I remember that it was routine taking a 725A processor (1.6 GHz Dothan) to run it at 2.13 GHz at stock voltage.

When intel released the Penryn Core 2 Duo (essentially a tweaked dual core Pentium M in 45nm) they managed to reduce the standard TDP from 35 to 25W at no expense for performance.

Just imagine the room you have... All what it matters is that it runs stable doing something heavy. Fire up prime 95 and work on the machine for several hours. If it doesn't report anything funny, it's unlikely that it will cause problems later.

OK. Will try different values and see which one will be the best one.

P.S. Undervolting can't do any hardware damage, can it?

No, it can't. But it CAN erase the hard drive when the CPU goes out of control, it happened to me once. So backup your data before trying.

Haven't got anything important on it, so even if that happens, there is nothing to worry about. I only use it for web browsing :)

P.S. prime 95 is for underclocking only or can be used for undervolting tests as well? BTW just install it and set it up at high stress levels or choose any other stress levels?

It's just to check stability, it doesn't matter what you're doing (underclocking, undervolting, simple testing, etc). Maximum stress is fine. Your purpose is simply to detect weird stuff that you can't otherwise notice.

So, did the test yesterday for 4 hours, CPU was loaded to 100% and temperature reached 63 degrees. Think is a bit better now :)
