have to disable and re-enable bluetooth

#1 Post by albo » Wed Nov 07, 2012 3:11 pm

Hi folks,

I use a bluetooth mouse, and it the bluetooth connection keeps crapping out on me. When it happens, I have to go to the device manager and disable and re-enable bluetooth. After that, it works again for a while.

Anyone else have this annoying issue?

thanks,
allie

Yes, it is a pain in the ar$e. The simplest solution I have found is to use Fn F5 and switch off Bluetooth. Then switch it straight back on again and mousie seems to spark back into life.

I've tried really hard to find a pattern to the times that the blighter disappears but there has been no thread to follow ... no obvious cause.

Meanwhile mousie says, "Eek, eek. B*llocks to you humanoid!" (Well it would, wouldn't it?)

Thanks killer. Yeah, used to be that I could just toggle BT and it would start working again. Recently, however, I've had to actually disable it. Ugh.
