Please suggest a third-party caddy for Thinkpad T510

#1 Post by ircfas133 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:45 am

I purchased one for T510 on Lenovo, but it can only fit my T430s, because it leaves a gap in between. Could anybody suggest a caddy (ultrabay) for ThinkPad T510 that won't leave a gap and the interface is up to speed? Thanks

Could you suggest a nice one on eBay or Amazon.com that is compatible with the machine and won't cause performance discount because the port is subpar, etc...? Thank you!

If that is truly your concern, buy a genuine Lenovo caddy

Lenovo caddy won't even fit. I don't know why their inventory system is this bad...

I believe Lenovo does make a 12.7mm caddy, though I don't know the part number.

The T510 adapters are totally passive. I've *never* seen one impact performance -- I don't even think they could. They either work or they don't.
