X230 with X220 webcam kit works!

In case anyone is wondering, you can install the X220 webcam ($20 fleabay special) into the X230. Ive confirmed it works (drivers, really tiny connector) and it looks like it will fit in the exact spot, but I currently have a 3rd antenna that I need to get out of my LCD first. But, it looks like itll fit no problem in the same spot. Super easy to install, you dont even need to remove bezel screws to do it. And yes, even if you have the 3x3 antenna, you also have underneath the black tape the connector for the webcam so its truly plug and play.

Any chance of keeping the third antenna? There must be an empty spot somewhere to install it...

Its a small wire but it terminates in a pretty metal plate with stuff attached to it so it doesnt leave me many places to put it. Meh, Ill think about it.

I'd reposition the antenna somewhere in the chassis.

Putting it where the webcam should go is bad design...

nice, i got mine without a camera... i knew u can install it just never tried it on a x230

Do you know of any guides, tutorials or manuals that could help me doing this change?

i own a x230t just got it yesterday with 3x3 and want the webcam.

should i return it? (can i?)
or do the Mod myself.

Im not sure if the tablet uses the same webcam as the non-tablet model. On quick search, I havent found any documents saying they are the same unit.
