FS: T43P. 15" hi-rez, vg+, 60gb hd. Pics

IBM T43P laptop. Works well. New Fujitsu 60 gb hard drive included, however it will not detect a hd. I'm skeptical it's the Southbridge chip because there are NO other issues.
I have used it successfully with Linux booting from a usb drive (not included). You can store files on the usb drive or attach a portable usb hd.
15" 1400x1050 hi-rez NON-reflective screen, 1 gb ram, 2 ghz processor, fingerprint reader, cd/dvd multi-recorder, wi-fi, keyboard light.
Included: power supply, battery (1/2 hour+), 6-cd set of the rescue and restore utility (there really are 6), I will even throw in a wireless 5-button mouse (needs 2 AAA batteries)..
$125.00 including shipping and Paypal.
Located in Center Harbor, NH, near Meredith, Plymouth and Laconia. In-person pick-up ok.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a HD not being detected is due to:
1) incorrect fitting of HD (must be upside down, label to the table and you must use proper HD-caddy and 4 screws)
2) a faulty HD
3) if not 1) or 2) then it is 100% a faulty Southbridge.

It's installed correctly, the hd is good (it won't detect ANY internal hd). The sb chip controls many things, doesn't it? If it was the chip I would think there would be other issues. It could just be a firmware glitch.
In any case, I'm being upfront. It's being sold as-is. Maybe someone else can figure it out and have a great laptop. It's still fully functional with Linux via usb.

Still available. This is a great working machine. Figure out the hd issue, use it with Linux or even part it out and it's a bargain.
Price lowered to $100.00 shipped, firm. Pick it up in NH for 80.00.

A T43p would have a 1600x1200 screen, where 1400x1050 would be reserved for T43.

What's the 7-character model number on the bottom of the machine, 26??-???
