Help needed for T60p - 2007F81 (v5250) and Lion

#1 Post by Laberlohe » Mon Nov 19, 2012 8:09 am

Hi Folks,

unfurtunately I'm driven halfway mad by the T60p I got last monday. It just won't run OSX Lion with QE/CI and more than 5MB VRAM :(

I'm not a total noob, since I use Hackintoshs for several years - based an Intel and AMD CPUs, but always with nVidia GPUs equiped. Even Lion or Moutain Lion on Atoms were no problem. But these little diva drives me mad...

I followed alomost every guide I found for T60/T60p including adidasprince great work but the differences between v5200 and v5250 seem to be bigger than expected. Of course I inserted DeviceIDs and EDID, played with the Modell-Identifier in SMBIOS.plist, left the vanilla path and messed in S/L/E, deleted Framebuffers, installed new onces (RadeonHD), and was finally even able to play Chess (so QE should work afaik), but but you could watch pictures to be created line by line - so I guess that only SystemProfiler is right by telling only 5 MB VRAM were used.

Could anybody point me to the right way? Or provide his/her kexts, if running same rig?

My machine:
T60p - 2007 F81 (modified Bios w/o Whitelist)
CPU: T7400, Core2Duo 2.16Hz
MEM: 667Hz, 1G+2G
HDD: upgraded to SATA 3G 320GB HDD
Video: Mobility FireGL V5250 256M, 71d4:1002
LCD Res: 1400x1050
Wifi: changed to Airport Extreme (well, the original Apple part ;-) )

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards,

Laberlohe

Hi!
It would be very interesting to know: have you manage to get QE/CI working finally?
Thank you in advance!
