"Anyone have any idea will it work?" No but please post the results of your experiment.
I'm interested in the power to the hard drive.

Re: eSATA Express Card on T43
The 54mm express card does not mention ESATAp or Power eSATA.
The cable is for laptops with a ESATAp port.
I wonder if a hard drive connected with the express card would be bootable.

Hi malch, managed to set up using the express card on my T43 with 2 x 2TB HDDs connected via the esata cables as mentioned.malch wrote:The 54mm express card does not mention ESATAp or Power eSATA.

To power up the HDDs, I'm using a AC power adapter that have the 4-pin molex output and a molex to 2 x SATA adapter as shown below.

Data transfer is currently limited by network as need to change to a gigabit switch.
Running this 24x7 for a few months now using Win7 OS installed in the T43 IDE HDD and accessing to the 2 x 2TB HDDs via samba. Would probably try out OpenMediaVault when I've some time.
