Ok, so I am getting impatient here with my attempt to buy a 770 for my collection here in Norway. Apart from a well-minded offer for a W700 (Uhm, isn't that *almost* the same computer??), it doesn't appear to be anyone for sale here.
As far as I understand, only some of the 770s came with Pentium II processors, and from ThinkWiki I understand that was the E, ED, X and Z models. So any of those would be my first choice here. All main components like the systemboard, screen and keyboard must be in working condition, but the hard drive can be missing. In that case, I need to know for sure that it boots to an OS when a hard drive is present. For the cosmetics, wear from general use is ok, but there should be no massive scratches or cracks in the system case.
Also be aware that I currently live in Norway, so it needs to be shipped here. For my expense, of course. If you are really opposed to shipping overseas, please contact me anyway. If it's a killer deal, I can have it shipped to one of my wife's friends in the US and they can forward it to me.
Thank you for any offer!

Re: WTB: Thinkpad 770
Hello Bill
Thanks for the offer. A purchase has taken place, so there is a 770 on it's way across the sea to me. But if I ever find that I lack parts for it, there seem to be a source for them.
