I was just browsing through the HMM for the Edge E420s when I saw the "Emergency Reset Hole" in the diagram for the bottom of the laptop. What exactly does this button do?
I'm not asking for a BS generic explanation like this:
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Ed ... a-p/405159
I really would like to know what function this button is actually doing.
Thanks!

Re: Edge E420s Emergency Reset Hole?
It acts like the reset button on desktop computers - equivelent of pulling the power, which is important since you cannot pull the battery on those systems to remove power (this is why most other thinkpads don't have this button - you pull the battery, instant reset); it stops everything and performs a cold boot.
