What will I lose by uninstalling power manager?

#1 Post by albo » Fri Nov 30, 2012 1:48 pm

Hi Folks,

Just installed TPFanControl, and getting random crashes. So, I think I need to uninstall Lenovo Power Manager. Will I lose anything important by uninstalling Power Manager? I use windows for my power profiles anyway.

thanks!

EDIT: Ok, I uninstalled PM, and it seems I've lost alot! No on-screen displays for things like volume changing. Some fn-keys don't work (e.g. fn-f5, fn-f6). What the hell?! It seems everything "lenovo" breaks when you uninstall power manager.

Anyone know if there's some version of power manager that's known to play nice with TPFanControl? Or, what are my other options?

thanks jayton. for whatever reason, these fn-hotkeys only seem to work with PM installed.
