Speakers on T42P

Hey guys my speakers are really staticy and blown sounding on my T42P i bought a few months ago.

they just got this way in the last week.

Will IBM warrenty cover this? is is a problem a Tech needs to fix?

If the sound has got distinctly worse (ie it's not just the normal crappy T4x sound) then yes, this should be covered under warranty. Unless you're very comfortable doung malor surgery on your computer, this is probably best left to someone who has experience. I don't believe these are tier I or tier II (user) replaceable parts.
